First Post...FINALLY! :)

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't blogged at all yet, I've been super busy with everything just getting started! I'll try to fill you in on everything that's been going on since I was crowned Miss Kansas Teen USA!:)
I was lucky enough to be able to attend the Miss Arkansas USA and Teen USA pageant at the beginning of January. It was great to see so many incredible young women making a difference in their communities. Congratulations to the lovely Mary-Kate Hartley and Lakynn McBride!
Since then I've had my appointment with Dr. Headley of KC Smile, the official cosmetic dentist for Vanbros titleholders! Everyone there is so sweet and Dr. Headley has gotten my smile ready for Teen USA! I've also gone to Pinkie Couture, my hair sponsor for the year, to get my hair done. James Pillatzke is AMAZING, I'm really looking forward to getting to work with him and Pinkie Couture more this year. They have a lot of incredible things coming up and I'm glad the VANBROS girls will get the opportunity to be a part of it.
Last Friday I was able to head over to Kansas City to my dress sponsor Sassy Chic, and meet them and look at what they had. Let me say Ashley and Danielle are both so sweet and amazing to work with. I found an amazing cocktail dress! I'm very excited to work with them to pick out my dress for Nationals!

And most exciting of all, this past weekend was our first bootcamp with all the VANBROS girls! We had our official photo shoot with Will Patterson! Will is an amazing photographer and I can't wait to see the photos! A huge thanks to Lisa Proctor, our make-up artist and Bryan Wood, James Pillatzke, and Brent Peterson, our hair stylists for the weekend. They made a great team and did a fabulous job!! Can't wait to work with them all again very soon! I had a blast getting to know all the VANBROS girls. So glad I can call them all my sisters! Lastly, I have to thank John Vannatta, our director for an amazing weekend! He really is the best director out there and I am so blessed to be one of his titleholders. Excited to see what else he has in store for us this year! Here are a few photos from the weekend!
